This week we begin a series of sermons from the book of Acts, in which people are transformed by the Holy Spirit of the Risen Christ. Any of you who want to read ahead and send your ponderings are encouraged to do so.

The Administration Team has nearly completed all the staff and pastoral reviews. We are blessed to have such a capable staff at Peace, working alongside all of you dedicated volunteers. Remember that I am the full-timer at Peace. Pastor Tricia works 15 hours/week. Judi and Gia work 20 hours/week each. Joe and Damaris are with us on Sunday mornings. Gia and I take Mondays off. Tricia works Tuesdays and week-ends mostly. Judi works Tuesday through Thursday.
David Mullen, Gia Havener, and others are teaming up for a musical benefit at Mattison’s to benefit New Town! “Better Git It in Your Soul: an evening of jazz, blues, R&B, and soul” Pay $20 at the door Friday night, April 23rd at 7:30 – Mattison’s on 41.
Sunday afternoon at 3:00 Peace will gather at Adventure Park in Greenbrook for a cook-out and kickball game.
Next Friday night-Saturday morning (April 30-May 1) we will participate and support others who are involved in the Relay for Life.
The Mission Team invites you to consider celebrating Mother’s Day by giving diapers and baby clothes to expectant mothers served by Mission Beth-El’s outreach to Arcadia. Please also speak to Eirinn Camphire about assisting with Family Promise during the week of Mother’s Day.
Spaghetti Dinner and Talent Show is at Northminster Presbyterian, corner of Lockwood Ridge and University, on May 15. Don’t miss this youth fun’raiser for the whole church family.
