| Dear Peace Family, This week in worship we celebrate the Baptism of Jordan Duncan, while also remembering all the saints who have gone before us in the Christian faith. Reading Luke 6, the Blessings and the Woes, reminds us that living the faith is challenging. It is not for wimps. Sunday after worship, the youth, children, and families will play kickball and share a pizza picnic at Greenbrook Adventure Park. Anyone is welcome to join in, but let Kris Pino (780-8808) know you are coming, so she orders enough pizza ($10/family or $5 for an individual) Bunco for Moms on Saturday night has been postponed but the Asolo Tour on Saturday morning is on! Call Lucy Kemp, if you have questions (751-9062) Six days to closing on the Aurora Property on Hwy 64, we hope and we pray. Don't stop praying or giving! Please turn in all keys to the office wing of MAR. We do not live there anymore. Call my cell phone (779-4900) because the office phone is at Aurora being checked only once or twice/week. Assuming all goes well (you will hear from me!) we will move from warehouse to Aurora on Saturday, the 9th at 9:00. Then on Sunday, the 10th, we will feast on Gratitude after worship at MAR. Please sign up to bring food to this fabulous celebration because we have “Ten Thousand Reasons” to bless the Lord. Prior to the Feast on the 10th, we will have a brief congregational meeting to elect two more elders. Unfortunately, David Mullen and Roy Green are no longer able to serve, but the nominating committee confidently recommends Roger Kragt and Henry Sunkenberg. Elected elders will prepare for three months prior to ordination and installation. Peace to all of you, Elizabeth | |
