Dear Peace People,
Remember that this Sunday we will have our annual congregational meeting at 9:45, between the two services of worship. At this meeting, you will witness the ordination and installation of new elders, and the commissioning of new ministry team leaders. You will receive new photo and address directories, the 2014 budget and session priorities, and the reports from teams about their accomplishments and goals – all in a nice little blue folder.
Worship will focus on what it means to follow Jesus – the call to authentic discipleship. Matthew 4:12-23. Hope to see you for two hours on Sunday, beginning at 8:30 or at 9:45! We have set up 145 seats in the chapel and parlor to accommodate as many as possible in the meeting. It’s a great time to see the friends you are missing in the “other” service.
Please sign up on Sunday or email Neil MacQueen (neilmacqueen@gmail.com) if you are able to help with our work days on February 1 and 15. Dedication is on February 23 at 3:00 – two brief identical services with tour/refreshments while not in service. We will follow our regular morning schedule earlier that day.
The 2014 winter edition of Peaceful News is attached, thanks to Diane Brinkmeyer and Peter Miller. It almost feels like winter out there today -- but not really. : )
