PEACE be with you

Friends of Peace,

This Sunday we will read these words from scripture: Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen…So let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus… (Hebrews 11-12)

I wonder how you are doing in this race of life. At Peace we do not promise answers to all the hard questions, but we do promise a community of supporters who are exercising their faith muscles, building endurance for the challenges and blessings of life as we try to follow Christ. We promise you a drink of cool water, some encouragement, and daily prayers for the world, as well as you personally — you specifically, by name. We promise to cheer you on, especially when the road is hard or long. We promise to seek with you the real meaning of life, looking beyond the obvious facts to the mysteries of God.

No church is perfect, but if you’re looking for authentic relationships and inspiring worship, come to Peace. If you have kids and would like them to be lovingly nurtured and known by name, come to Peace. If you want to make a difference in this community through compassionate outreach, come to Peace. If you’re not connected to a faith community in a way that transforms your life, come to Peace.Be at PEACE with us.

Come tomorrow to SCF (formerly MCC) in Lakewood Ranch for worship at 9:30 or come next Sunday, the 22nd, when worship will be followed by the Peace Players (mostly children & youth) performing some wonderful excerpts from Godspell, the musical!

New lively learning and musical opportunities for all ages begin the first Sunday of September, after families have had time to settle into a new school year. Enrich your world with more than physical, mental, and recreational activities. Grow your spiritual life too.
Come as you are. All are welcome, and I mean ALL.

Peace to you,

Pastor Elizabeth Deibert
