Dear Peacemakers,

What a joy to have 220 people in worship on the first Sunday of Easter!   Thanks to all the musicians at Peace who prepared so well for our Holy Week services.    This Sunday we will read my favorite Resurrection narrative, The Walk to Emmaus, Luke 24:13-43.   Hope to see you!

Saturday morning you are welcome to join us for Strawberry gleaning (picking the leftover fruit) for local food banks.   We will leave from Peace at 10:00 on Saturday, will pick for a while in Duette (east of Parrish) and then will stop for lunch.   Bring a water bottle, sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen.   You’ll be home by 2:00.

On Sunday evening from 5-7, please join in the Great Race, a riddled scavenger hunt with friendly competition at Peace.  This is the perfect opportunity to build relationships across generations and have a good laugh.   Let Tricia know if you are coming, so she can order chicken.   rompandrun@hotmail.com Bring other food to share.

Finally, let me thank you for all the wonderful birthday cards, bulbs for planting, and $720 for landscaping.   I am blessed to be surrounded by such loving, generous, and supportive friends in Christ.

Peace and love to you,

Elizabeth
